Looking back on my family's history we can find EMA's roots. Destiny or coincidence. In 1890 Alfons Murtra founded a textil company in Vilassar de Mar, Barcelona. They were producing cotton fabrics, tablecloths, towels, sheets, handkerchiefs and pieces of clothing. In 1936 Alfons Amat (the founder's grandson) during the Spanish Civil War had to move to Argentina and started the company there. The Spanish factory disappeared but the company is still alive in Argentina.
